For 2024, the Ellsworth Hovey Getchell Foundation is once again proud to sponsor numerous scholarships through the Auburn Aviation Association.
Private Pilot Training – Supporting the pool of up to (4) scholarships for a private pilot certificate, with applicants who will be ages 16 to 25 as of February 28, 2024. They will receive training toward a private pilot license, to a maximum value of $12,500
Instrument Rating – Up to (5) scholarships valued up to $12,500 each in training towards an instrument rating will be awarded to qualified applicants. Applicants who will be age 17 to 25 as of February 28, 2024 must hold a Private Pilot License at the time of
application.
Commercial Pilot License – Up to (4) scholarships for up to $12,500 each in training towards a Commercial Pilot License will be awarded to qualified applicants. Applicants who will be age 18-25 as of February 28, 2023 must hold a Private Pilot License and Instrument Rating at the time of application. Recipient must be within 40 hours of the flight time requirement for the
CPL to begin training under this scholarship.
