Recipients of the EHGF scholarships and grants exhibit the positive character traits of Ellsworth Hovey Getchell. Keeping with the spirit of Mr. Getchell, they will in turn pay it forward to their next generation. The members of Auburn Aviation Association are honored to be part of this process.”

"One of the biggest hurdles for many our students is the overwhelming cost of testing for their A&P Mechanic Certificate. Upon graduation, some of our students are forced to postpone testing simply because of a lack of funds. This postponement then causes a delay in the student starting their career. Thanks to the generosity of Auburn Airport Association and Ellsworth Hovey Getchell Foundation, many of our deserving students have been able to complete their testing immediately upon graduation and subsequently begin their career as an aircraft mechanic."
